Assist Pregnancy Center is a local, life-affirming clinic that helps women and men experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with practical medical care, relational support and resources. Because of Assist, families are empowered to choose life for themselves and their unborn children. All of their services are provided at no cost and benefit our community. The event on October 25th is a special gathering allowing the community to learn more about Assist and partner in this local ministry to rescue lives and build up families. There will be ministry updates, stories of lives changed, a delicious dinner, and an opportunity to partner with Assist in this work. There is no ticket cost to attend this event but there will be an opportunity to give presented during the program.

Please join us Saturday, October 26, for candy, costumes, and fellowship at the Portico Church Trunk-or-Treat!
Participating cars should arrive at the Portico parking lot by 3:45 with trunks decorated and candy to share. Trick-or-treating will begin at 4:00 PM.
Please keep all decorations and costumes kid and family friendly. We hope to see you for a fun, safe, and spooktacular time!

We will have some coffee and snacks, and people are invited to bring any light finger food dishes to share.
Anyone who does want to bring food can drop it off in the kitchen downstairs in the basement prior to the start of service.
If you are new or visiting, this is a great chance to meet some people and get connected to the community of Portico Church!
Do you have clothing you haven't worn in years? Clothes your kids have grown out of? A donation bag in the back of your car?
Arlington Bridge Builders is one of our partnership organizations that focuses on relieving urgent needs of local families and building relationships to connect them to Christ. ABB serves hundreds of families in the Arlington area; most of which are low income and Spanish speaking. In partnership with ABB we are hosting a back to school clothing drive to collect clothing for all ages that will be distributed to families in need.
Donations will be collected at Portico on Sunday mornings August 4, 11, and 18. There will be bins that folks can drop off their items.
We will be distributing donations to families at the Arlington Bridge Builders Back to School event on August 24th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (at Greenbrier Baptist Church 5401 7th Rd S, Arlington, VA 22204) - hundreds of families attend! If you or your community group is interested in volunteering (distributing items or grilling) for that event please register or contact Sheamus Larkin.
